Daniel Roth 50 Birthday

I recently chanced upon this pre-owned Daniel Roth in salmon dial which my wife is now wearing as her office beater. The case is in the iconic Daniel Roth "double ellipse" shape. Info taken from the Net seems to suggest that this is a limited edition to celebrate the 50th birthday of Daniel Roth, the man himself.

A robust little fella she is (the watch, not my wife.)! The crown is screw type and the movement is hand-windable but does not hack. With quickset date; time and date setting is a breeze.

The clear caseback shows the Daniel Roth calibre 157 which is in fact a Frederic Piguet calibre 951 movement (info taken from SJX post on watchprosite.com).

The Daniel Roth brand has been bought over by Bvlgari and the latest timepieces now carry the branding "Bvlgari - Daniel Roth". So I though it will be interesting to have a well-kept piece that still bears the "Daniel Roth" brand.
